MAC’s Senior Director of Early Phase Research, Dr Peter Dewland, has been awarded the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine President’s Medal.
After qualifying in Biochemistry and Medicine at St Thomas’s Hospital, London Dr Dewland took on a series of posts training him for General Medical Practice. After a couple of years, he decided to enter the sector of Phase 1 research where he continued with his training and gained a master’s in medical Ethics and a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacology as well as the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine. Peter also gained experience in late phase research when he joined a large CRO contributing to different therapeutic areas in Phase II and III.
Dr Dewland has been a recognised figure in early phase clinical research for many years. He was also a founder member of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. We would like to congratulate Dr Peter Dewland on this exceptional achievement, his commitment and making a positive difference within Pharmaceutical Medicine.
